BSCC joined Transparency International call for public access to beneficial ownership information

The Bulgarian – Swiss Chamber of Commerce has signed an appeal, already supported by over 200 signatories. The letter will contribute to the preparatory process of the first-ever UN General Assembly Special Session against Corruption, UNGASS, scheduled for June this year. With signing of this letter, we are all calling on the UNGASS 2021 to commit to making centralised, public beneficial ownership registers a global standard. A central, public register of companies and their ultimate beneficial owners – in addition to information on legal ownership and directors – is the most effective and practical way to record such information and facilitate timely access for all stakeholders.

More information about the initiative and opportunity to sign the appeal until January 20th 2021, you may find HERE.
