
On 19th of March 2020 the European Commission amended the implementing of Regulation (EU) 2020/402 making the exportation of certain products subject to the production of an export authorisation. The new Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/426 excludes the EFTA member States (Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Switzerland) as well as certain overseas countries and territories, from the Authorization requirement.
Exports to Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, as well as the overseas countries and territories listed in Annex II of the Treaty shall not be subject to the measures set out in paragraphs 1 and 2 of the current Regulation 2020/426.
This Regulation aims to enable the provisions of emergency supplies in the context of humanitarian aid (COVID-19 outbreak) in a speedy and more efficient way.
BSCC commits to follow up on the developments related to the implementation of this Regulation and to assist its members and other Bulgarian and Swiss enterprises in communicating their problems related to the matter to the relevant authorities.
