BSCC Chairman of the Managing Board, Mr. Boni Bonev, participated at a breakfast meeting between UNICEF Bulgaria and the Business. The meeting took place on January 16th 2020 at Hilton Hotel Sofia under the title “Business for Results – the power of business to achieve results for children”.

Main objective of the meeting was to brainstorm and consult on how to strengthen partnerships for delivering effective results for children and young people. Participants at the meeting agreed on a number of action points, which will be further elaborated on – formation of an Advisory council of business and children and development of a Learning academy.

‘This is an exciting moment and a first step towards creating Win-Win partnerships between UNICEF Bulgaria and Business in which we can achieve social impact at scale and also deliver Strategic Value for business” – highlighted Dr. Jane Muita, Representative of UNICEF in Bulgaria, during the meeting.

As aligned with the principles of the UN Global Compact, the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce always seeks opportunities to advocate for the vulnerable. Therefore, BSCC strongly supports this initiative and is ready to cooperate for achieving results for the children with UNICEF, i.e. using innovative approaches in getting closer to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).
