03.04.14, Switzerland as an Industrial Partner Business Forum was held in Sofia

On 03 April 2013, at the Sofia Balkan Hotel, the second business forum was organised as part of the BSCC Promoting Partnerships Project, implemented by the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland – Central Europe (SEC+). The project is supported by a grant from Switzerland through the Partnership and Expert Fund of the Bulgarian-Swiss Cooperation Programme.

The event was attended by officials from the Bulgarian and the Swiss side – HE Ms. Regina Escher – Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Sofia, Mr. Krasin Dimitrov – Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy, Mr. Kostadin Djatev – Deputy Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency.

Mr. Krasin Dimitrov and Ms. Regina Escher addressed the participants in the forum.

Mr. Djatev from the InvestBulgaria Agency presented the current economic status and the possibilities to invest in Bulgaria.

Mr. Christoph Schärrer, Deputy Managing Director of the Swiss Association Cleantech, delivered a presentation about his organisation, which is a platform for companies working in the field of green energy and environment protection.

Mr. Thomas Dalla Vecchia, OBAL AG, presented his experience in collaborating with Bulgarian companies from the metal processing, mechanical and electrical engineering industry. He outlined the main peculiarities of the cooperation and the contacts between the Bulgarian and Swiss companies.

A good practice for a Swiss investment in Bulgaria was presented by Mr Philippe Hartmann, Oscar Rüegg Bulgaria EOOD, Stara Zagora.

After the official part, bilateral meetings were organised between the attending Bulgarian and Swiss companies.
