The Regional Governor of Plovdiv Region Mr. Iliya Zyumbilev took part as a special guest speaker in an event organized by the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, which took place on 26 March 2024 at the Sofia Balkan Palace Hotel in Sofia.

Welcoming addresses to the participants and guests were given by  Mr. Boni Bonev –  Chairman, BSCC Managing Board and the Deputy Head of the Swiss Mission in Sofia Mr. Rolf Ott.

Mr. Zyumbilev presented to the audience an interesting and comprehensive presentation on the advantages and opportunities available to the Plovdiv region, focusing on the strategic perspectives of the region in areas such as innovation, investment, infrastructure, education and others.

“Plovdiv is a city with a rich history and at the same time with high potential for innovation and development. Our goal is to create a favorable environment for the development of society and the economy and we are open to cooperation, expressing our readiness to contribute to the successful development of the region and the country,” said Mr. Zyumbilev.

The event was also attended by Ms. Nadezhda Vasileva, Country Head of Adecco Bulgaria, who introduced the guests to a project aimed at the entry of artificial intelligence into the working environment.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ms. Marieta Georgieva shared information about best practices in Switzerland related to policies to support dual training, which would contribute to the development of this field in our country.

After the official part, the guests had the opportunity to share experiences and good practices in different areas in an informal setting.
